The 6th Annual Charlotte Oktoberfest Beer Festival will take place

Saturday, October 9th from 2-9pm in the NoDa Arts District in Charlotte,

North Carolina. The festival site is located at the 3300 Block of North

Davidson Street, directly behind the Neighborhood Theatre. With over 200

craft-brewed beers on hand, this promises to be the largest beer festival

in Charlotte’s history, and a truly fun way to spend a Saturday afternoon.

Wings, 'tinis In Matthews August 31st, 2004 Posted by Hunter Wilson

I’m going to ask you to take a leap of faith. A couple of weeks away from the end of this series and I throw you under the bus by bringing the neighborhood series through Matthews.

First, I live in this area. I’m not necessarily proud of it, but it is home. Second, don’t sell them short. We’re talking about nightlife here, so once you walk through closed doors after dark, it doesn’t really matter after all.

On a Wednesday night I counted 21 girls and three guys in the bar of the Bonefish Grill (10056 E. Independence Blvd., 704-845-8001, www.bonefishgrill.com) but I’ll concede the transient dinner traffic. Nevertheless, place your bets on those odds, gentlemen. What started out as an observation of multiple girls’ night out still yielded a strong playing field after catching my daily dose of Olympics coverage…
