6th Annual Charlotte Oktoberfest Beer Festival October 1st, 2004 Posted by Hunter Wilson

The 6th Annual Charlotte Oktoberfest Beer Festival will take place

Saturday, October 9th from 2-9pm in the NoDa Arts District in Charlotte,

North Carolina. The festival site is located at the 3300 Block of North

Davidson Street, directly behind the Neighborhood Theatre. With over 200

craft-brewed beers on hand, this promises to be the largest beer festival

in Charlotte’s history, and a truly fun way to spend a Saturday afternoon.
Over the past five years, the Charlotte Oktoberfest Beer Festival has grown

from simple beginnings into one of the Southeast’s finest craft brewing

festivals. For 2004, the Carolina Brewmasters, a Charlotte-based homebrew

club, has partnered with the NoDa Business Association to bring the

festival to the North Davidson Arts District for what promises to be the

biggest and best festival to date. This year’s event features:

* Unlimited samples of over 200 craft-brewed beers made by 80+ breweries

from across the Southeast and around the world.

* Collectible 6.5-oz. Tasting Glass for sampling this diverse collection of

beers.

* Live musical entertainment, featuring the Sons of Ralph, the Moonshine

Racers and the Stragglers.

* Excellent food, prepared by the diverse and eclectic NoDa restaurants,

will be available for purchase.

* Large, open festival site behind the Neighborhood Theatre, with over an

acre of space.

* All for a good cause: a portion of event proceeds will benefit two

charities based in the NoDa area: Habitat for Humanity and Seigle Avenue

Partners.

Admission to the festival will be $20 in advance and $25 at the door.

Designated Drivers pay only $10 at the door (free soft drinks and snacks

will be provided), and minors under 18 are free with a paying adult.
